Experienced Dispute Resolution Services
If you are seeking a skilled mediator or arbitrator, or if you would
like experienced advice on whether mediation, arbitration,
or another type of alternative dispute resolution proceeding would
be appropriate for your case, I can help you.
My mediation style is generally more evaluative than facilitative. That said, I have found that that each mediation is different because parties, counsel and decision makers bring different approaches and life experiences to the table.
I endeavor to understand the needs of the parties and get to what is driving the litigation for each of them. I also learned a long time ago that one of the greatest frustrations that litigants have with the legal system is that they often do not feel as though they are being heard. Under appropriate circumstances, allowing people to express themselves often leads to information that greatly assists with the resolution of the dispute.
I have also found that it is crucial to understand and have serious exchanges as to how certain facts will come into evidence before a trier of fact.
I've served as an arbitrator since 1994, a Judge Pro Tem since 1997,
and a mediator since 2002, when I completed formal mediator training
at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine School
of Law. I am available as a mediator to assist in resolving a wide
range of matters, whether they involve disputes that are in active
litigation or disputes that are in the pre-litigation stage.
If
you're an attorney or business interested in using my services as a
mediator or arbitrator, or as an advisor on mediation, arbitration,
or other ADR strategies and approaches, please just call for my
rates and other information, and please view some of my dispute resolution references on this website. My contact information is below. I
look forward to helping you.
